Some weddings feel less like an event and more like stepping into someone’s heart. Isabella & Ismael’s day was exactly that. With about 50 of their closest family and friends, their wedding was intimate, intentional, and filled with meaning in every detail. As Isabella said best, “a labor of love.”
The morning began at Bella’s family cottage in Geneseo. She got ready quietly on her own, Taylor Swift playing softly in the background. It was such a beautiful calm before the day unfolded. Her mother-in-law helped place the final touches on her veil, while her grandmother stood right beside me, camera in hand, determined not to miss a single moment.
Next door, Ismael was in a cabin with his brothers, sharing laughter as they helped him get ready. He and Bella exchanged a few phone calls that morning—just enough to hear each other’s voices—before letting the anticipation of their first look later in the day build.
Their ceremony, officiated by Bella’s mom, was heartfelt and deeply personal. Nothing about it felt like a performance—it was genuine, filled with glances and smiles that carried so much love. Afterward, they invited everyone up to their family’s land, Wild Flower Farms, where cocktails and the sound of a string quartet welcomed guests into the evening.
Every part of the reception was woven together by their people. Bella’s sibling helped guide the flow of the evening—music, speeches, laughter—and the entire night unfolded with ease. It wasn’t staged or overdone, it was real. A celebration stitched together with love, family, and the kind of joy that only happens when everyone feels at home.
As I captured their day, I kept thinking how special it all felt. No rush, no pretenses—just two people starting their marriage in the most genuine way. Isabella & Ismael, thank you for letting me be there to tell your story. Your wedding was heartfelt, intentional, and such a reminder of what truly matters.
If you’re planning a wedding that feels like you—whether it’s an intimate gathering or a bigger celebration—I’d love to document your story in the same way.
