Who to Book First for Your Wedding Vendors: A Stress-Free Planning Timeline

Planning your wedding can feel overwhelming…

There are so many moving pieces and decisions to make. One of the biggest questions I hear from couples is: “Who do I book first for my wedding?” Booking vendors in the right order can save stress, ensure your dream team is available, and help your day flow seamlessly.

As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen firsthand how timing and vendor choices shape a wedding day. To make things easier, I’ve put together a stress-free wedding planning timeline to guide you from your engagement all the way through the big day.

If you want a step-by-step guide for your wedding planning journey, check out my Wedding Planning Guide — it’s designed to help couples like you plan with confidence and clarity ( & have fun while you are doing it!)

  • Wedding Planner or Coordinator
  • Videographer
  • Photographer ( Un bias opinion – booking your photographer early also allows you to plan your engagement session at the perfect time, helping you get comfortable in front of the camera!)
