Nate & Shamika: Buffalo NY, Wedding Celebration at Fox Valley Country Club

I first met Nate and Shamika in New York City, and I have to say, our engagement session was such a fun start to their photography journey. We met at their favorite coffee shop just a few blocks from home, and they were the best guides around the city. I could tell right away that we’d be a great fit—their energy, laughter, and connection made the whole day feel effortless.

Their wedding followed not long after, and it was such a beautiful blend of Indian and American traditions. The festivities began the night before at Freedom Run Winery in Lockport, NY. Shamika’s family welcomed Nate into their traditional celebrations with blessings, dances, and so many meaningful moments. It was such a joyful evening that set the tone for the next day.

The wedding day itself started bright and early at Fox Valley Country Club in Buffalo. Nate and Shamika shared a private first look and exchanged personal vows—just the two of them—to calm their nerves before the Baraat, which is the groom’s celebratory procession full of music, dancing, and excitement as he arrives to meet the bride’s family. Being part of this moment and seeing their love and connection shine through was truly special.

Their reception took place at Templeton Landing Restaurant & Special Events, and every moment was full of joy and celebration. From their grand entrance and intimate first dance to choreographed dances from family and the bridal party, the heartfelt mother-son dance, and the fun cake cutting, it was a day that truly reflected who they are as a couple.

Nate and Shamika’s wedding was such a beautiful mix of culture, love, and joy. I feel so honored to have been there to document every moment, from the quiet, personal vows to the big, energetic celebrations.
